Classes she teaches: RHYTHM RIDE
Lauren took her very first spin class 3 years ago at RIDE and has been hooked ever since. What started as a weekly ritual turned into a passion for her. When asked about her spin journey, she says “I started going more frequently to classes and started falling more in love with spinning. I would lose myself in the music. All of my frustrations, worries and any negative thoughts would slip away and after class I would feel like a brand new person. Going to spin helped me in so many ways, especially my weight loss journey. I was doing something I loved and getting fit while doing it! Spinning also helped me get back in shape and motivate me after I had major hip surgery two years ago. I felt like I was useless in the gym because I could no longer run, squat, or do any exercises that I was used to. The first time I went back to spin class after I was cleared was one of the best days of my life and all of the reasons why I loved spin came rushing back. It was around that time when I realized I wanted to share my passion, motivation and knowledge with others and made the decision to finally get certified! I love fun upbeat music, trying new/fun combos on the bike, sprints and testing out new and challenging climbs.
My dad always told me “Mind over Matter, because what you don’t mind won’t matter.” I still follow this motto every day. There are little things in life that you can get yourself down on, but if you don’t pay mind to them you can then see that there are by far many greater things in life that are in store for you! So take that chance, step out of your comfort zone, you can do it if you set your mind to it! Let’s RIDE together!
